The system has just reseted all the bots I've played at all levels!!! It looks like I've never played or won any of them! When I click on "play against bots" the system suggests I play with the adaptive ones as if I'd just opened my account and had no idea about chess as well!!!

I'm fed up! First the system/staff take away unfairly my 39,000 points in puzzles, and now this! Give me back my settings and my points and stop treating me like trash!! ☹️☹️

The puzzles rating I understand the need for:

https://www.chess.com/news/view/announcing-new-puzzles-rating-system

I had over 4000 puzzles rating before the change too, but I like this newer system much better.

The bots thing is news to me, but it could be just a temporary bug/glitch. I hope you get it back.

But you have 2000+ points, now right? They leave only with 571!! That's not fair neither!! I worked hard to get a good rating sad.png

They adjusted to make it similar to our current rating :l

My puzzles rating got lower than 2000, I just worked on puzzles to bring it up some. The puzzles aren't inflated like before though, so I am probably not moving my puzzles rating much higher up, unless I really grind puzzles a lot.

I worked hard for a good rating too. I had over 3000 puzzles rating "legitimately" and then I boosted it over 4000 when chess.com had that puzzle rating super inflation just recently:

Now my puzzles rating dropped below 2000 as mentioned and I got it back up some, but I still prefer this newer puzzle rating system. Remember that the goal of working hard on puzzles isn't the number; it's the pattern recognition and tactical ability you improve. You still benefit from those, so your hard work on puzzles didn't go away. It's a newer rating system without the puzzle inflation, but puzzles can still benefit your chess. happy.png

No offence, but that's not true. I know people with a similar rating or even worse than mine and they haven't lost a such points. Some ones even have gain points without solving a puzzle!! (??) That's logical and fair for the rest??? No at all.

I TOTALLY DISSAGRE. My puzzle rating wasn't "inflation" and despite I have them settled "extra hard" I only can make puzzles with mate in 1 or 2. So I can't learn pattern recognition! Literally this doesn't help me and I don't deserve this drop in my rating.

I can understand the frustration; I wasn't saying that your puzzle rating was inflated. I was saying that ALL the puzzle ratings were inflated. Your chess.com rapid is currently in the 600s and chess.com daily is currently in the 1500s. It stands to reason that puzzles ability should be within this range maybe give or take a few hundred points, but your puzzles rating was over 3900. That's incredible! It's way inflated to game ratings though.

All chess.com did was rework the way puzzles are rated, but the system giving puzzles is the same (the link I shared in post #2 shares more). This lowered everyone's ratings because the puzzles they solved were re-rated.

p.s. I always used the "extra hard" puzzles too.

No offence, but you only read/take from my comment what you want. As I said, it doesn't help me. I cannot solve puzzles in good conditions cause I only can silly mates in 2 moves, and my rating in Rapid doesn't have to do with my puzzle rating. I don't play Rapid cause I I don have time and I don't really like very much. It's ridiculous to think that if someone has 700 in Rapid that person can't solve puzzles with 3000 o more in rating.

The site reran every member's puzzle history through the new algorithm against updated puzzle ratings.

Some lower rated players went up, as may of the low rated puzzle increased in rating from the rerate process. Some may have stayed very close to where they were. A lot of members went down.

This bots thing appears to be a bug.

Puzzle Points, for the Collect Puzzle Points feature, weren't removed.

I know, that happened to me too and it's kinda frustrating, indeed. But the best reaction is, imo, to give the finger to this score.

The bot-history bug is something else...
