i'll be honest - this stuff is insanely hard to do :) so we try to do a 99% job on it knowing that some things won't be perfect. i'll add your comments to the list and they will hopefully get fixed in future releases. enjoy!

Since I find darker colors generally easier on the eye, I created a theme ("Nightshade") that I like. Most text is white on a dark navy blue background, with orange links and headings. The trouble is, there are a few things that I don't know how to change.
1. On my home page, next to "My Status", my message is in dark gray, which is barely visible against the navy background. But I don't see anywhere to change it. Can it be changed?
2. Next to that, it says "6 days ago", in a somewhat lighter shade of gray. This one is a little more visible, but I'd prefer to change it. Can it be changed?
3. The white text font that I've chosen looks fine...except in those cases where chess.com seem to superimpose a pale background, such as the "Add a Chess.com widget or banner" message in the "Edit Profile" page, and a few other places. Can I change that background? If not, then chess.com should override the custom font color too, as it does in the "Alerts" panel.
The basic problem seems to be that the default chess.com theme has light colored backgrounds and dark text colors. Those of us who create themes with light text on dark backgrounds will run into trouble when we hit default text or background colors that we can't change. Another example is the "Think you know chess?" box. The background is pale green, which apparently can't be changed. But it uses my white text color and the result is hard to read. Since I can't change the background, the solution is to either let me do so or don't use my custom text color in that box.
