this website isn't secure

Hey, my internet keeps being interrupted telling me that the website isn't secure, while I am playing a game, and you only give me 1 minute time in order to reconnect which isn't enough, and I keep losing ratings because of this stupid rule you have, so either fix your bloody website or increase the waiting time so when I reconnect I don't lose ratings

It may be as simple as chess.com needing to renew a certificate. Or perhaps the government internet controls in Egypt are interfering.

so how much rating should I keep losing till they reply ?

Do those notices come from chess.com?

Chess.com uses secure connections.

If your connection is not secure, something is preventing it. 

You are the only one who has seen the notice. You have to be the one who researches where it comes from and what it means.

You could post a copy here to find out if anyone else has seen it.

I've seen this kind of thing before. Its usually some kind of browser settings. 

What browser are you using? have you cleared your cache recently?

The Egyptian government censors access to a lot of websites. They also interfere in the establishment of secure connections.

Microsoft edge, and I tried to change the settings with no result and it happens as well with chrome 

It doesn't give me any warm, fuzzy feelings that the Chess.com certificate is signed by Comodo.

I demand that you give me back the rating I lost because of this internet interruption, I lost already a lot of it 

I spotted this too but not for a bit , my comp wouldn't recognize the sites security certificate , which isn't ccs but some other compnies , but that's not happened recently , so ive just put it down to a glitch ,

it does raise questions if it isn't isolated to one or two accounts though and im glad cc s jdcannon is aware of this ,

btw jd, this issue cleared up for me when I was gifted a gold membership , which removed ads , perhaps its something linked to that and affecting non subscribers

Well I don't have enough money to waste on a subscription for a website that doesn't function properly without payment 

You're not from Egypt any more? I thought that info about Egyptian internet censorship offered a decent possible explanation.

Instead of obsessing over the short term loss, focus on the long term gains you have made.

That government is obviously trying to block the internet connection of their intellectuals!

you have no idea how frustrating it is when you are winning a game and suddenly this web isn't secure page appears and you can't just reconnect in time because of this stupid website system and you find yourself lost because of a matter of seconds due to reconnection, it is so bloody annoying so keep your nonsense advices to yourself

Of course i know "frustration"  I just chose to not get frustrated over online chess games.  You have made some nice long term progress.  Concentrate on that, instead of some recent losses.

I don't think you understand that I amn't able to finish my games, so please stop talking about losses, as if it was fair, I loose because I get disconnected 

Everyone loses chess games.  Its because of connection, its because of mistakes, its because of blunders, its because our opponent was simply better.  We all lose, and we all lose for a myriad of reasons.

Chess like life is not fair. 

no losing due to bad connection doesn't mean that your opponent was better , it just means that you are just unlucky
