I'm playing a game where the time of my opponent not only does not decrease but it seems to increase too... I surely saw his time being at 36 hrs left then 34hrs, later again 36. It is definitely not a case of my opponent being on vacation, although he has been on vacation quite a few times during the game. Is this a bug or how else does he do that? Is it some special benefit of some level of membership? I'm a move away from winning the game, but still, it does not seem to be very fair...
There is a policy of a minimum 24 of vacation removed when a player goes on vacation. http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/26/0/how-does-vacation-work--how-much-time-do-i-get
Assuming it is still in force, the second part not stated in the help entry is if a player uses less than 24 hours of vacation then the remainder of the minimum 24 hours is added to game time.
