chess.com is a very "liberal" site. So they are into the "We want to be fair to everyone" thing. Not trying to get political, or attacking the site. Just giving you an honest answer to your post.
Too Much Spamming

I understand, but isn't letting people mislead some newcomer unfair to the newcomer? Anyway it's not ideal in my opinion. I do appreciate their position though.

Agreed. But the site has stated repeatedly they are not going to change how the forums are run.

Agreed! Bumped so more people see this.
A year ago, it was actually much better than today. Now it is even more pronounced for sure.

That’s true for sure.

Absolutely. I've been a member since late 2016, I remember seeing this place for the first time; the "foot reveal", "who else likes pickles?", etc. nonsense-type posts that are now more common than actual chess-related content, were nearly nonexistent. I used to really enjoy chatting about chess, helping beginners solve problems, getting my problems solved, etc. here; it's very unfortunate to watch the forum collapse like this when they used to be so fun and useful.
And the most absurd part of the whole issue is the fact that this is a website about a board game. Of all the websites to fall to such witless content, why is it this place?

All eventually fall to children. It is their… destiny.

Yes, last year there were a lot of chess related topics. I've made some as I was restarting playing chess, and there were some relevant answers I got then. There was some spamming, and after a few months, I noticed an increase in completely unrelated content.
Nowadays there are really a lot of some topics like: Face reveal, garden reveal, guess how old I am, and all of those are in chess related sub forums instead of off topic. There seems to be less and less chess related topics every day, and even when there is such a topic it gets swarmed with completely irrelevant, unrelated posts.
I respect that this might be a more liberal forum in a sense that some spamming is tolerated, but this seems too much. It looks to me that it will come to the point when you will barely know that this is a chess forum.

Biggest problem is that since spamers aren't reprimanded, new (and also younger) users without previous netiquette from forums think that this is ok behavior. How will they learn if nobody tells and shows them what is "right" and "wrong"?

Ignore them. Hopefully when they see that they aren’t getting the reaction they want. They might stop.
Why is it allowed for people to spam every topic? A little bit of it I can understand, but misleading and spamming posts on topics created by people who seeks advice and wants to improve shouldn't be allowed. At least in some places like Beginner forum it shouldn't happen.
