A FEN will always give a static position, I think.
Go to your game, and download the PGN.
Open the PGN file in a text editor (notepad)
Click on the chessboard icon.
Select "Game or sequence of moves" and click continue
Select "use a pgn file"
Go to your text editor, and select the entire text (CTRL A does this)
Copy this text to the clipboard (CTRL C does this)
Go back to the chess position window, and click in the white box below PGN
Paste the game (CTRL V does this)
Click Continue. Your game should now be there, with all the moves, you can add comment etc. When you are ready, click submit
I've been trying to post up my first game for analysis and have been struggling with a few things.
1. Every time I import a fen string or pgn file it gives me a static position instead of the whole game, despite the fact that I chose the game option after clicking the little chess icon.
2. When I hit submit, the page refreshes and I lose the game that I inserted!
3. As a result of #2 I have to reinsert every move of my game and make new notes for it all over again. Is there a way to save just an analysis so that I can have it for myself and simply reinsert it if this happens again?
Three times now I have input the whole game, move by move, and made notes, only to have it disappear when I hit submit. Please help! It's taking up a ton of my time!
Thanks,
Mal
