Unintentional Castling: losing moves (REQUESTED FIX)

Today I lost another game,😭.

Now, Why did I lose?

Because I castled unintentionally.
This happens more often than I care to admit.

It seems whenever I select my King and then instead decide to select one of my Rooks I am made to castle(assuming the home row between the two is empty).

I am "MADE" to castle because it wasn't a choice, I merely wanted to select my Rook.

If I WANTED to castle I would select my King then select the square two to the left or two to the right.

Currently to select my Rook after selecting my King I would need to select an intermediary piece. (Suppose in some ridiculous scenario I only had two pieces left, a King and a Rook. And the opposition had a King and Queen, and the opposition made an error and moved their Queen right in front of my Rook, but I already had my King selected... And I try to select my Rook.... and instead of being able to then take the queen I am forced to castle!!!). Lol
Please fix this, or at least give an option in settings.

If your post was edited by a moderator, there usually was more to it than just "moron".

 

The site has certain rules and if those aren't followed then staff or moderators will enforce the rules. Not everyone wants to see colorful language and not eveyone on the site is an adult.

 

To your original point, I believe you can just click an illegal square to deselect a piece or even just click it again.

 

 

 

Or just unselect the "touch-move" option.

 

That's only available for Live on the app and for Daily. Not sure about v2 Live though.
