Unrated next to my name, how come?

A bit too confident by immediately challenging 1500+ers?
Haha! No mate, fellow posters from the RB and I already knew I was going to be on a hiding to nothing.

Says that you are 1044 to me. Maybe it's just taking a while to update on your computer or something....

I've only played 5 games so far (lost them all to players rated 1500+ but went down swinging ;)) but it still says unrated next to my name. I'm pretty sure that these were rated games, 2 of them were in a tournament after all.
Have I missed a particular setting in my account?
Thanks in advance.
It shows as unrated if the majority of your games are unrated games. Once you play and complete a rated game, your ratings return (as they have now)

Thank you, it's now showing up as rated. My account got deactivated by the spam filter, I promise I wasn't spamming, and when I e-mailed the support staff they sorted out the reactivication and also explained the unrated problem. WIth that, they also fixed it so that it would show next to my name.
They were extremely quick with their response (less than a day) and ever so helpful. I once again say thanks Blackenne.
Although, I'm now pondering the wisdom of letting others know what rating I am. I have few enough techniques in my locker without everybody knowing them!
1500 on chess.com is nothing. I have seen players here rated 1600 but are only 900 FIDE rating. I have also seen GMs with barely over 2000, and CMs rated almost 3000. The rating fluctuation is already too much. Dont depend so much on rating. Just play the game.
I have just lost my first 2 games on time, even though I had a "decisive advantage" up at least a piece in both games. Cant keep up with schoolwork and this.
