Yes it's manual. It's theoretically possible to automate it, for those with linked accounts, but unlikely to do for a very small sunset of site members.

I see people that have a uscf rating on their profile and I went and followed all the steps here https://support.chess.com/article/120-how-do-i-connect-my-uscf-id-to-my-chess-com-account and did all of them but it has been a long time and I still don't see it. Am I missing something?
