Users trying to throw game

I had a user named [Name removed. Moderator] who kept reloading his connection / toggle to make opponent think he left / not speaking.  I want my points back.  Had another user who attempted to do the same thing.  Not making this website much fun.

It's likely that he was just having connection problems.  Even if he was doing it intentionally, he'll end up losing a significant amount of time in speed/blitz chess if he does it multiple times.  This doesn't seem like a problem.

It was a longer game.  It happened.

I'm not saying that it didn't happen.  I'm saying that it is not a real issue since your opponent reloading his connection does not give him an unfair advantage.  The time loss due to the reconnection should in fact give him a disadvantage.

Oh, and for the mods, my apologies for using the name in this case.  I was just trying to identify which game it was.

So how do you know with any certainty he didn't have a bad connection? In the meantime, put him on your "blocked" list of players if you're sure he deliberately was screwing with you, and get over it. There are 4 million members here and some of them have bad connections, and some of them are dicks. End of story.

You can post links to the game(s) in question via going to your live chess page, clicking on the game and copy/pasting the url into this thread.

Chess.com will NOT reimburse points regardless of why/how you lost them.  I, for example, was recently CLOBBERED by somebody in an online tournament here and lost points, only for that member to be discovered cheating later on (he was banned and removed from the tournament).  I didn't get my points back despite being cheated against.  I simply played more games, won, and regained my rating that way.

And as Kens_mom has already stated, it is to nobody's advantage to "pretend" to disconnect, as they're only wasting their own time.  Quite a few members on here have less-than-adequate connections which results in temporary disconnects or even abandoned games.
