I noticed the moves were too fast for a typical 700-800 level player, given we were lightly bantering in the chat at the same time. I checked the game analysis reports afterwards, and 5/6 his accuracy score was in the 90s.
Am I wrong for thinking this guy was using a chess engine while playing? If so and he just so happens to have a 2000 elo irl and was toxically smurfing on 700-800 novices I'll gladly take the L's and move on, but to consistently have that high of an accuracy rating? That seems like something that would require some illicit outside help.
If they have already played many games to establish their rating then they're probably sandbagging to be as low as that. Accuracy in the 90s is no indication of engine use though. I've played lots of blunder filled games with accuracy in the 90s. A decent player playing against beginners would actually expect to get a high accuracy score of say 95%+ since the right moves are easy to find when they're not being tested.
