vacation time

I’ve read this article, however it does not explain the cumulative aspect of vacation time.
The person I’m playing has”months” of vacation time available.
Even if he/she is at the 90 day allowance, can one assume that “months” only equal 3 months?

@kdamato:
Yeah, maybe it could have been better phrased, but maximum is maximum...Of course while someone is burning up their 90 days, they are also accumulating a little more.
Vacation time is capped at a certain maximum so that you can't keep accumulating vacation time forever. Your maximum allowable vacation time depends on your membership level:
- Basic Members: 30 days
- Gold: 60 days
- Platinum/Diamond: 90 days

People abusing this vacation system to the maximum to just to run thousand games at the same time. People should not have ability to take vacations 20 times at the same game. I would be fine if they would be able to take vacation 1 time per game, but now I end up still playing the game that I started in May with only 17 moves. They should be able to take vacation only if opponent allows it

If you don't like vacation, you can always join no vacation events.
Alternatively, petition the site to add a no vacation option to random seeks.

I don't mind people taking vacation when they are really in vacations and not just running 1k games just to drag the game for longer

Hi,
Maybe worth looking into if you feel players are abusing vacation.

It's not vacation abuse, but because he's running over 1k daily games, he's taking vacation just to have time so he would be able to make moves on other games. If 90 days is max, I have no Idea how he didn't run out of it in like September, because I always make my move same or day after he made

Every time a member goes on vacation 24 hours are deducted from their vacation bank. If they get on before that 24 hours has elapsed, the difference in time is added back to games where they were on the move, up to the time control, excluding no vacation games.
If they are premium, then they are being automatically being placed on vacation due to auto-timeout protection when low on time in one or more games. So, if they are really going on vacation that often, they'll eventually run out and will start timing out in games. While the maximum is 90 days banked new days are added through the month, depending on membership level, with a max of 5 extra days per month.
