Purchase 1 month membership for $5. I'm pretty sure that brings up your vacation time to 40 days - though check with staff first.
Vacation Time
Your clock stops while you are on vacation time. So, if you make all your moves, then start your vacation time, you will have your 7 days of vacation time, plus the game time for before you time out. So, if all of your games are 3 or more days/move, your 10 day vacation is cutting it close. But... you should be recieving one more day of vacation time sometime on Friday, as it is the 15th of the month (more time is added on the 1st and 15th of every month). As this is a new vacation system, I'm not sure if you will automatically have the extra day added if you turn your vacation time on before the extra day is added or not.

Actually, this is not correct. Purchasing a silver level membership would only add one day. For anyone who wants to learn about the new vacation system, you can read more about it here: http://www.chess.com/news/site-update-groupteam-vote-chess--vacation-changes
You can read http://support.chess.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=31&nav=0,6 for more information on how the vacation works and how much vacation time you will have.
I have a small dilemma and was hoping one of the Chess.com staff members might be able to clarify it for me. I will be going overseas starting on Friday for 10 days. Being a new member, I see that I only have 7 days vacation time. If I make my final moves on the morning that I leave and pause my games, and my vacation time runs out 7 days later, will I still have the 3 days of time control left on each game (they are all 3 days/move)? Or will I automatically forfeit? I really enjoy the site and don't want to lose my games. Can somebody clarify this for me? Thanks for your help!! Apologies from a newbie if this has already been covered somewhere.
