Three games in a row, one of my pieces would not move. No, it has nothing to do with being in check or trying to move into check. I am sure. One game I couldn't even start, another my knight, after moving it once or twice just stopped responding. Another my bishop after moving it once or twice stopped responding. However, I was able to move other pieces, not the one's I really wanted to move. So, what's going on? I have a good strong internet connection. It should be working.

I'm having technical problems!

What should I do?

We're sorry you're having difficulties with Live Chess.

Here are a couple of tricks that solve people's problems in many cases:

  • Do a hard refresh. On a PC you can do this by pressing Ctrl + F5
  • On a Mac, use Command + R.
  • If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser cache.  (The method for doing this depends on your browser.)  After that, refresh as described above.

If you are still having issues with Live chess, please contact Support.

We'll be better able to help if you give us all the details about what you're experiencing.
