Pretty sure automate turned into setup chess.

Setup Chess is similar but not the same. Automate did the setup part and the engine played out both sides.

No way they deleted it. It was by far the most fun variant. That's sad.

They should bring it back.

We should bother them so much with so many emails that they will bring it back.

It was a variant where you would make a setup with the pieces that you want based on the amount of points they are worth, and then a bot would play for you against your opponent's setup (which is also being controlled by a bot). It was super fun.
