Where is the message?

I am superadmin of a small group. If a new member wants to join the group, he can write a message to the admins. But the admins can't read it because there is no message.  Where is the message? Where can i find it?

When you go into your group page, there will be a list there of people who have applied to join.

Or if you have your alerts on you'll see down the right side of your page their username and which of your groups they have applied to join. From there you can choose accept or deny.

I think Salero means the actual message you can send to the administrator:

• Message:

  Hey! Please add me to your group...

Note: This is a private group, your request will be reviewed by the group administrator.

I am also curious about where admins of a group can read it.

When the alert appears on your homepage (for example)

dudley_spuds (Test Group) - approve |deny

click on the group name that shows in brackets.

Go into Manage members in your group.

The message shows there at the top by their username.

True, this is the place where this message appears.

However, usually, the admin of a group will not go there before accepting or refusing the group joining request. And after the request has been accepted or refused, this message will be lost if the admin has not happened to read it by then, won't it?

So I would think that if one really wishes to write a little message to a group admin that one thinks should be read by him, one should do so via pm, not within such a group joining request.

Thanks kohai. That works. :)  But it is a very unnatural way. I am agree with ilmago. So I wish, if a potential member wrote a message, then in the alert-Fieldset  should be a link to the message.
