Why did I lose?? - iPhone app

Hi,

I'm a new user of the iPhone app - using it to play online, turn-based.

In my Game List, a couple of games moved to "Finished Games" - and judging by the change to my rating, I'd "lost" them both! Fine - I probably lost on time.

But looking at the games, there's NO indication of HOW they ended - just a stupid message at the top of the screen saying "OVER". Not even a 1-0 or 0-1 or 1/2-1/2 at the end of the game history to indicate who's won!

As an experiment, I tried "resigning" one of these games, and it behaved as if the game wasn't over, asking me "Are you sure you want to resign"?

No big harm done - I figured out from the e-mail updates that I had indeed lost on time - but it's an infuriating way for the app to behave - surely one of the most important pieces of information you can give me, is *what was the result and why*??

Hope chess.com sorts this soon.

Using the Iphone app is cheating and they will close your account...

They've partially fixed it - you get a '1-0, 1/2-1/2 or 0-1' at the end of the game history and also atop the screen (instead of 'OVER') when the game is finished. And if you give checkmate, you get a screeen proclaiming that you have done so, and therefore won.

However, still no indication of WHY a game was won or lost so you might not know, e.g., if your opponent resigned, or lost on time. It's basic information and should really be provided by the app.
