Why isn't my Completed Games list updated with accuracy after analysing a game?

I lost a game yesterday and analysed it. In the list of competed games, it still has the red Analyze text instead of the accuracy figures. I tried again this morning, in case my one game per day allowance was already used yesterday, and it still doesn't update. The stats still say 34 games analysed, even though this is the 35th. How can I get it to update?

I'm seeing the same thing and have asked staff about it

Alcofribas59

Thank you Martin. The same thing is happening to the last game I played too.

Martin_Stahl

Yeah, not sure what's going on but staff are keeping an eye out for tickets on the problem. The issue doesn't seem to be consistent and may not be impacting all accounts.

I've had this happen to me several times on the Android app, and I have a theory what I think is is causing it.

My theory is that the problem occurs when both players at the end of the game simultaneous analyze the game. This results in a Race Condition for the computation of the Game Accuracy Score. (A Race Condition is is an undesirable situation that occurs when a system attempts to perform two  operations at the same time.) If my theory is correct, then don't immediately analyze a game when finished, but rather wait a couple of seconds just in case your opponent is also analyzing the same game at the same time.

To fix the problem on the Android app, I have to delete the app Storage and Cache data and that fixes the problem.

Martin_Stahl

@KingMoored, in this particular case, it's unlikely to be a race condition in my case at least. I tried analyzing a couple of games over two weeks old, so it highly unlikely both members happened to get doing it at the same time.

Worth a try, but clearing browser files didn’t fix it for me (Safari/iOS).

I just installed the app (iPad) and analysed the game there instead of doing it in the browser, and now it shows up in completed games.

That's interesting. When I have this problem on my Android tablet, the first thing I do to try and fix it is I log onto my PC using the browser and run the analysis there, but that doesn't fix it for me.

Martin_Stahl

This should be fixed now.

Alcofribas59

That’s great. Thank you Martin. I’m looking forward to resuming the analysis of my losses 😏

Unfortunately this problem has recurred after 4 days where reviews worked. I tried to analyse an old game in my browser and the review worked, but it still shows as unanalysed in the game list. I can’t review it in the app as that tells me I’ve used my free review for the day.

Same problem here. No accuracy showing for the last couple of days.

Something different than what happened in the OP is going on. It still is updating, it just may take some time get written to the archive. I ran one yesterday and it updated after a short time.

YouhanKim1

it still broken, not showing up...

The problem still persists, does not matter on which platform, mobile or desktop.

There's a new, known issue now, with a different cause than the OP issue.
