When you're disconnected from the game you have a minute to reconnect to the game before its decided as abandoned.
with over 7 mins left after disconnect autolose?

That sheets me off too. Either that or having 2 seconds left on my clock when the server reconnects me...time to headbut the screen

Chess.com should consider extending the cut off point to 2mins.
1 min just is too little time in a lot of cases.
It's a bit of a balancing act on Chess.com's part as peeps don't want to wait any longer than they have to but i would be prepared to wait:)

My longest i ever thought about one move was 1hour and 15 minutes in a 120/40 otb game.
So will I lose the game when i think more than a minute? I hope not.
And what si with the indirect impact for the the game, a player who would lose, wins now. He get a higher rating, I lose rating and have to play against players who will make more mistakes, i will not concentrate, i will not play serious and in end my chessgame will not improve, cause I will allways think is his rating real or had he just a few opponents with dc´s? Or did he play against opponents who got there rating because of dc´s from opponents.
It would be more fair to say something like that:
1. Disconnect wait for a minute
2. and than offer automatically a draw, after the minute, now the opponent can choose will he/she wait or take the risk after someone reconnect after 3minutes or so, that the draw will dissappear and the game will go on.
I could leave better with that, than an autolose after a minute.
Hi!
I am a bit angry, the reason is following:
Better Position 1 Pawn up, and made the move to win a rook for a knight, the system said: you are disconnected.
Okay is not that bad because i had over 7 minutes left on my clock enough time to reconnect. but after that the system said i lost the game.
Serious?!? Whats the reason for this? This is not fair and against the real rules, you can leave your chessboard when you are not to move.
over 7 minutes left.......
