The 1428 was after a 2 minute game. The system keeps track of three independent ratings (std/bullet/blitz) - you probably already had a lower 2 minute rating; your 10 minute rating is still the same after this.

Thank you Metastable. I had played many 3 min games and did not realize that <2 min was a seperate catagory. I assume that the provisional rating rules apply to the first 5 games with the starting point at my >2min rating. May you relax in harmony.

You do not get a provisional rating on this site. Your bullet rating started at 1200. The volatility of this rating will remain if you do not playing bullet regularly.

How can my rating drop from 1622 to 1428 in a single game??? I have played more than 700 games.
