How can I get better pairings in LIVE I AM HGETTING paired against people 300 points above and 300 points less I just wa t better pairings
there are supposedly millions of games happening at one (many must be bots) so how can’t I get a better consistent pairing
is there a way to minimize the divergence in rating it is 600 points it is f too much

Just adding to this thread. I have the same trouble with my abort button disappearing. I tend to check my opponent’s profile before playing my first move and abort if I believe they’ll be cheating, as it’s often easy to see if they use an engine (e.g., if their winning % is unrealistic as they have won 49/50 games played). At the ~2200 level for rapid, this is unfortunately the case with a lot of users, so I abort about 1/8 games or so. Even though chess.com will catch and close most of these accounts, there will always be more users like this. I know I can go ahead and play these games, lose them, and get my rating points reimbursed later, but I would rather play fair games against human brains alone, and therefore I would like the option to abort these games.
Does anyone have some insights/suggestions for how I can best handle this? Much appreciated! 
The abort button is often used abusively.
9 times out of 10, it happens my opponent do abort the game... because they are playing Black. And they want White. Maybe they had to play two or threee games with Black already and are frustrated not to get White... Maybe so, but...
What they don't care about, is that, often enough, I've been playing Black one, two or three games in a row before, and they are stealing White from me, when every other time, next game will give me Black again. 
For the reason, I do block such players, and all those who are fed up with the attitude would do same, so they run out of opponents for their abuses.
Something funny happened. Someone send me a game challenge that I can’t refuse (can’t delete) How can that happen? He is on my page, I can only abort or draw! How did he do that? I don’t want to play him, at the moment I have enough games. But I am forse to play! Or abort? I NEVER ACCEPTED THAT GAME. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
It disappears after a while for me it disappeared after about 6 months
What?? 6 months? There must be an other way. I hoop someone of the moderators tell me how to handle.

It's a daily game. No moves have been played so you can abort without penalty. It's also unrated so that wouldn't matter either.
This at least the 2nd time this has occurred on my iPad. I pLay a 5 minute game and I'm black. Neither person has made move. I select the button that normally brings up the menu where Abort option is first. I don't pay attention and hit the first option that is Resign. In certain instances Abort is not displayed and I unwittingly press Resign. This happens at the worse moments, when I'm paired with a very low ranked opponent.
If you abort too many games the server takes the abort button off you.
I've lowered the fair play policy for you now so the abort button will now show, but there are custom settings there so you shouldn't need to abort that many times :)
Yeah, happened to many recently, where I lost rating because instead of abort there was the resign button. Even though I hadn't aborted any games before the game where I lost rating, it still made me resign instead of abort. Then I asked for staff for help, which they helped me by restoring my points.
