asked for a draw incessantly and then tried?

So I started a game and on move 5 my opponent started asking for a draw which I didn't want to do because it would've dropped me rating points. Then I asked him in chat if he had a good reason and he did, he needed to study, and so I planned on accepting the draw to let him study so I blundered a pawn and thought nothing of it since I wasn't paying attention because I knew next move i would draw. plot twist, my opponent who had been begging me to draw(and probably offered around 20 draw requests) didn't accept the next draw I sent him... weird. Then in chat he informs me that all bets are off and that I blundered the pawn and now he won't draw with me. I guess the moral of the story is don't trust anyone on online chess, because obviously you can get swindled here too.

I fully agree with you. Once a person also told me that you play well and you win. I thanked him not realizing that the chat was on my time in a 5 minutes game. This happened 2-3 times and then I realized what was going on. My view is to give our best in every game. If someone doesn't want to play, they can leave/resign.
