Quite a good idea, but I don't think it wins. As long as black plays f5 to stop your breakthrough he's probably OK, although it requires calculation.

My idea is simply to play a piece up. Pawns will fall.

No pawn in particular but with an extra piece you can add an extra attacker compared to your opponents defenders.
