Agree that its happening in the same way for everyone. But is it correct?
I defeated a played with rating 2006. His rating came down to 1978 after the defeat.
I expect 2006 to be displayed as my Best Win. But it displays 1978. I think this is not correct

Look at it this way: you won against a player whose actual strength at the time was probably closer to 1978 than 2006. So, why would your best win show as 2006 (a less accurate version of your opponent's rating) rather than 1978 (a more accurate version of your opponent's rating)?
I agree that showing the best win rating before the adjustment seems more correct but in our games archives the results show the adjusted ratings (which means you can go back through your history and see exactly what your rating was at the conclusion of each game) so I guess the best win feature is just being consistent with this.
On the upside, your worst loss is after the ratings adjustment too :-) .
after beating an opponent which counts as your best win, it displays that best win after the opponents rating has been changed. in my example before game started
aragorn5705 was rated 1013-ish
Nebri was rated 950-ish...
after nebri wins the match aragorns rating goes down to 981, and the best win displayed for nebri is aragorn5705(981) which is not right, he was rated 1013-ish when I beat him, and thats the rating that should be displayed as my best win.
