Bug with the The Fifty-Move Rule

I think there is a bug with the Fifty Move Rule. My last game with EduardoGold should have being a draw because nobody moved a pawn nor captured a piece in the last 80 moves or so, but I end up losing by time.

I hope this can be corrected as soon as posible.

You need to click the draw button to claim the draw, is not automatic.

I did, and my oponent didn't accept, then the game coninue.

Besides when is a 3 move repetion draw or a draw because insuficient mate material, the draw is automatic, so I don't understand why it is not automatic whit the Fifty Move Rule.

You have to click the draw button to claim the draw AFTER the 50 moves have passed without a pawn move or capture.  Same as with 3 move repetition.

Looks to me like you guys were randomly moving kings around for 138 moves, not just 80. Maybe when you offered a draw it wasn't yet 50 moves, and then you didn't try again?

I think it was after more than 50 moves but I'm not completly sure, if this happens to me again I'll make sure I offer a draw after the 50 move and see if it works. If it doesn't work I'll post in here.

Thanks for the replays, and I suggest that the draws by rules to be automatic.

But that's not how the rules of chess are written.  And 3-fold repetition is not automatic either, however insufficient material is (both being consistent with the rules).
