I only know about the repetition, which has to be claimed to apply- just like in OTB chess.
Can someone please tell me why...

Yes, I am fairly sure that you need to click a button to claim the draw. I don't see why your rating didn't change. Maybe it's a bug. You might want to report this to a staff member.

just read about the repetition button... know now for next time. the ratings thing is still perplexing despite reading the FAQ's. does the server suspend ratings during maintainance/updates?

I just saw that there is an option to change between rated and unrated gamesin Live Chess... I must have accidently changed it somehow. thanks everyone for your replies.

hmmm... actually I have just checked the 'Details' tab and the games were rated... I will report a bug.
taffy, you have to press the draw button to claim a draw, you know the one where you request a draw
in my last two games of Live Chess (first a win, then a loss) my rating did not move?? Also, in the game I lost, I ran out of time but am sure the three move repetition rule had been reached at the end??
