Cant play live chess

Hi there,

I am using the Chess.com app on the samsung galaxy s3.
And sometimes when i try to play live the screen just keeps saying loading and nothing happends.
It really confuses me because sometimes it does work but 90% of the times it doesn`t.

On a slightly related note is there a way to get the play live notification from the message bar on the top screen? The only way i seem to find is to force close the app which is less then ideal, at settings disabling the "enable notifications" options doesn`t seem to do the trick.

I have the same phone and the same issue.

What type of connection are you guys playing on?  What version of the app are you using?

I always end my app and reopen it. works every time

I have the problem when i am using Wifi or 3G.
And i am using version 2.0.17.

I just forced stop my app and reopened it, like likemikey381 said and that seemed to work since now i can play live. Even tough it is kind of annoying to do that everytime.

Glad that works at least for the meantime.  We are working on an update to the app that should help with some live chess issues. Sorry for the trouble guys!
