Castling Bug

I'm fairly new to chess.com, so I don't know if this is a common problem. I play on my iPad, using the application. During live chess games, if I'm checking or aiming in-between a king and rook it still let's my opponent castle :( it really takes the fun out of it for me, because I'll never know who the true victor would be.

castling is only illegal if the king passes through check. If you are aiming at the rook, or next to the rook on the long side, it is still legal to castle.

In your last bullet game your queen was aimed at the rook.

Hey thanks for the reply. I know the rules. However in some games the king is castling out of check and through check...maybe something is weird with the app I'm using? Or maybe I'm just going crazy :)

Perhaps you could provide us with an example so that we will know if you are more crazy than the average chessplayer.
