Chess.com app does not deal well with internet issues, etc.

Whenever there is a small interruption in internet connection, the app deals with it really badly.

Sometimes, it loses state entirely - I just had a bughouse game where I lost internet, reconnected, then was shown my opponent running down on time, while in reality, it was my turn!

It has also happened to me several times that a premove was selected, but the opponent did not trigger it, then my piece ends up in the position where it was to have premoved - and all I can do to fix it is to reload the site, which takes quite a while. This bug is, btw, independent of internet issues, it happens seemingly at random.

Now why am I describing both of those issues in one post?
Because I strongly suspect that a lot of stuff in the app has been moved into some fancy frontend framework, which does not refresh state when it should. I suspect this being the case because a hard refresh ( reloading the site ) sorts those issues.

I have also noted that it takes several seconds at times after losing internet, where I am already able to surf the rest of the web, but chess.com needs a while to sort itself out ( stale frontend data? )

Can someone look into this, please, because it is starting to really annoy me,
and I keep losing games in part due to those issues. Nice to see chess.com "going with the times" - but I for one don't particularly care for a fancier interface if it doesn't work right.

This has been around ever since chess.com moved to the new layout, and I believe we've now waited long enough to get "the kinks worked out".

I play mostly live chess, and breaking this is making the site a lot less attractive for me.

Please post if you're having similar issues, I'd love to just put the thread in a bug report email,
maybe then someone will do something about it. Thanks!

Same thing happens to me, even though my internet has no issues, I have Netflix going at the same time, and check connection in the phone, it is at Max, so it looks like the server is overflown and kicks some players out, it shows some bars at the top right corner blinking in red, and then the final message “I disconnected”, so annoying, it is time to look out for other chess sites...
