whenever i disconnected in the middle of the game it was taken as violation of fair play policy. But the disconnection was not intentional and it was due to power cut problems which is very prevalent in INDIA.So whenever disconnection takes place please take it as equal to resignation at least instead of regarding violation of fair play policy.

Ok so here is the link to see exactly what fair play is and why chess.com has implemented it:

Also please read the section entitled "Tips to avoid aborting games"
Some of you mention about being disconnected due to a poor internet connection.
Chess.com kindly gives 2 mins of reconnection time, so if you do disconnect you have 2 mins to reconnect before you lose.
If you get disconnected again after you reconnect you have another 2 mins again and so forth.
If you find yourself getting many disconnections, then you should consider playing longer games i.e 30 mins+ to ensure you have enough time in between your poor connection times.
