glitch prevents me from moving and suddenly time is gone

A number of time recently, while I have a strong connection, I willing be playing a game, and when it looks like my opponent is taking a while to move, and their clock is running down. Then suddenly their move happens, their time goes up as if they moved immediately, and my clock goes down 15 seconds or however long I’ve been waiting for them to move. What’s going on with that?
