both of you should go on the live chess.com server and in the bottom right hand corner of your screen there should be a tab titled Friends. Click on than and a list of your friends who are online will apear. If they 're playing a game their status will be watch meaning if you click watch, you will watch the game that they are playing. However if their status is play then they are available and click on that link and a pop up should appear and then from there you can challenge your brother. Hope that was informative.

I have a question. My brother just installed the chess.com app. He appears in my friends, as online. We want to play a game online right now. The only option when I challenge him, though, is three day per move correspondence chess. Is there a way to play a blitz with him, with ten minutes per game rules, for example? Sorry if an ignorant question, will really apretiate any help...
