Probably because he has won/lost other games during that time, affecting his rating.
inconsistent ratings

In games today with Good-day-mate his rating started @ 1138 and after the first game moved to 1236 and in subsequent games became 1300/1210/1146......any idease why or is this just a computer glitch ?

On the other side your RD of 25 means your rating is practically immovable as it is considered very reliable. Additionally since your opponent's rating was so unreliable it did not affect you much whether you won or lost.

I'm not bothered about its effect on me I was just curious as to why it was so changeable. I don't understansd the references to "Glicko RD" please elucidate.

Its a rating deviation. The high number basically means that your opponent hasn't played very many games therefore his rating is not reliable. His score will jump around until his glicko rd is lower.
