IOS app crashes a lot

I like chess.com, but this app crashes a lot, resulting in a lot of loses due to "abandoned" games, etc.

It will suddenly quit. Or in other cases, will freeze with the "loading game" dialog. Sometimes it shows that it is your opponents move, when in fact it is your move, and you time out.

Also, you are missing several features of the web version. In this iOS app, you can't block people, chat history disappears, and you can't access the open chat channels.

Other missing features: there is no alert that a move has been made, so if you go to another app while you are waiting for your opponent to move, you are not alerted that it is your move.

Yep, same here. It has gotten worse and worse. Using the recent iPad and bullet has become unplayable. The app crashes 4 in 5 games.

Hi guys. Sorry you're seeing so many crashes with the iOs app :( Can you both please let me know what device (and version) you're using, what version of iOS you currently have installed, and then what version of the app you're using?

Is this only crashing in live chess?

iPad 3, iOS 6.1.3, latest version of chess.com

Ipad 4 , latest version of chess.com

I am fairly certain it has to do with the movie preview ads, when i dont see that ad after a game i dont crash, might just be coincidence but something to look at

When is the new chess app coming for iOS?

I havent seen the ads lately and i havent been crashing, they were from the movie "Rush", next time i see ill screen shot

The app crashes due to what appears to be a memory leak - restarting the iPad immediately fixes the instability, but the instability returns aafter playing a large umber of games.
