When the latest app update was released, did you install it over the one on your device ? or did you close the app, completely un-install, then install the new app ?
Can you go into settings /applications /manage applications / chess.com
clear data and force stop, then un-install and go back onto the market place and re-install the app.
The latest app version is 1.942
The latest app. work pecfectly.All is alright !!!!
Still not working after a couple of days, I'm using google chrome and when I click "PLAY LIVE CHESS" a new tab opens saying-
"Live Chess is temporarily unavailable. We are doing upgrades and adding features and fixes"
And then this new tab ends up back on the page with the big "PLAY LIVE CHESS" button.
I'm curious whats happened here?

no idea fella, mines has been working fine since that day and i use chrome. and been working today fine, try login out, deleting all history and re login back in
Works if I press the little "use simple board" button unerneath the "PLAY LIVE CHESS" one. I am happy now :) Yay!
Yeah Live is definatly not working for me on wither chrome or firefox...tried logging out and back in too and tried the simple board. I guess I should just go to bed and hopefully it will work when I try later. Also just the site in general is majorly lagging. And yeah it sends me back to the main page when I go to live chess.
oh, what's that mean? I'm using chrome too but never played live chess due to internet problem.. What's happen to live chess?
eh got it working did a chess.com cookies clear I dont know if that did it or not

Can you make sure your browser is up to date please, preferrably no add-ons on it.
Chess is not showing up on igoogle??Does any body tell me why?

To be more specific, the igadget link does not appear to be working. This is the message I see on the igoogle page at the spot where chess.com is supposed to be:
Unable to retrieve: http://ig.hosted.chesscomapps.com/api/gadget_def.php
I tried removing and reinstalling the gadget, but still get the same message. Perhaps the link has changed? I don't know. You should report to Support through the Help link in Live Chess.
However, since iGoogle is being retired in less than a year, it might be a good idea to abandon use of this platform in any case.
