We didn't have time to give a warning. Live chess was disconnecting and reconnecting .. which in turn would have cost alot of members alot of games.
We had to do an emergency restart so games in progress were aborted (rather than being lost because a player can't reconnect).

Is chess.com trying to make it so this kind of thing doesn't happen? Are they close to a solution? It's happened to me about 4 times in the past 4 months (I know, not too many times, but still very annoying when it does)

I was in the middle of a 60/0 game, and had been at it for about 40 minutes. Just as I finally achieved a winning position, live chess game me the "Connection lost" message. I refreshed the page, only to get the "Live chess is temporarily unavailable" message and a redirection to the chess.com home page.
This isn't the first time this has happened. Quite a few times I've been in the middle of a standard game, and I get disconnected, and no trace of the game remains (it's not even saved in the previous games list so I can analyze what did get played- it's as if the game never even happened).
Seriously, do you mind giving us a 2 hours warning or so before you randomly make live chess "temporarily unavailable?" Is this some kind of malfunction? I try not to get annoyed, but I'm quite tired of having a game I was in the middle of get deleted. It's not too often that it happens, but usually at least 1-2 times a month. Please try to eliminate this malfunction from the site ASAP. Thanks.
