Click/tap "Play a Friend" button.
Select or search for an opponent.
Click/tap the time control button.

I click on play, then live. It shows me my last opponent and gives me 2 choices, rematch, or play that same time control. I want a different time control. So I guess no live chess for me. I'm on Andoid and the Duckduckgo browser. I was able to select the time control I wanted twice, and then no more.
I've not tried logging out and back in. Just play and live and click outside the old game window and try again.
