Live tournaments?

I cant point out where and when I read about it. But wasn't there talk about trying to make it possible to try live tournaments? 

I think I read it when the new live chess came out. But haven't heard anything more about it. 

Would be fun to try. Even if the timeouts would be much higher than online chess. 

I am waiting in anticipation of Live Chess tourneys. It would be great. Haven't a clue when that feature might show up, but it will be welcomed by many if and when it does.

i'm not sure of the timeline either, but i can confirm that it is a currently-being-worked-on project.

Awsome.  You know you could just make diffrent chat channels and if you wanted to play in a live tournament you went to the tournaments channel

yep, that's a promising idea.

The trick is to have bot-facilitated tourneys with auto-pairings and auto-results tables - just like Online. Impromptu tourneys are fun, of course. But the only real way to do this right is fully-facilitated. Just my view, of course.
