long to get a game

Is it just me, or has it been taking really long to get live chess games (any time control) for the past few weeks? I've checked with a friend at another rating level and he's been having the same problem. I often can't get a game at all. 

Yeah, its taking longer than before

I contacted support and they instructed me to clear my cache. From what I can tell, that hasn't really helped, but probably wasn't a bad idea anyway. 

is it a software issue, or is it just lack of players? Agreed though, used to be no problem to get 5 or 10 min blitz games, now there's a very long wait

Yesterday and today I've been getting games more quickly. First time in several weeks. Maybe they are fixing it...
