That looks like the result of a plugin you have installed. Can you disable plugins and then reenable one at a time until you find the offender?

I disabled all plugins and it still does it.
Problem resolved. It was the Thumbnail zoom plus extension in firefox. I had disabled it before but I was still having the problem. I changed its settings so it doesn't zoom while in chess.com and it works now.

When I try to move a piece, an icon of the piece appears on the board covering other pieces. Below, I hovered over f2. Very annoying. My os is windows 7.
