New "Two Queens" Opening for White!

I was playing as black in a blitz game on live chess, way ahead in pieces and trying to reach mate before my clock ran down. Indeed, I delivered checkmate with just seconds left. I was moving pieces so furiously that I was already advancing my c pawn to promotion before I realized the game was over.

My opponent challenged me to a rematch, and I accepted. What happened next was quite remarkable. As the new game started (with me playing white), I didn't get to make my move. Instead, my leftover move from the game before was automatically entered in its place.

This is how I ended up discovering the new opening. The first move of the game was listed as 1. c1=Q.

That's awesome! My opponent called me h4x0r and resigned, which is understandable in the face of such a brilliant move.

This is the first game I was playing.  I was making pre-moves and moved my pawn to c1 before the game registered the checkmate.  Unfortunately, the next game (The one with two queens) wasn't saved because, having only one move, it was aborted instead of actually resigned.

I think if we repeated the circumstances we could make it happen again, but that might be tricky.  Let me know if you are interested in experimenting.

It was a glitch.  It was my karma for all the disconnects on Live Chess. =)
