But it's not a one-player game and by aborting regularly you negatively affect the experiences of others. If you do not want to play against those in a certain range, then you can pick the range of ratings that you will be paired up against in your game settings. To say that you like to abort games for the pleasure of aborting in-itself is absurd.
The matter "aborting", is frequently happening to me also. Where my fault if opponent is aborting the game, even after just a move and my PC is very fast and my internet connection as well. I strongly request to competent authority to take utmost care of this problem.
I hate that aswell; however, you have to put certain things into consideration. If I am a 1500 player and it's pairing me up with a 1200 player, why would I want to play? If I win I only get 5 rating points if I lose I lose about 12. Not too mention, that gap of a rating usually isn't a challenge. My peak rating was 1482 and I was not trying to play anyone in the 1300's or below simply because I wanted a challenge, and wanted to learn from more difficult players. How can I take my chess to the next level if I am playing people I have a 98 percent chance I will beat?

That is true

Or you could just narrow the window of ratings you want to play against. It's easily done in the live game settings.
I think 90% of the time it's because they don't realize that they can limit their ratings in the game settings. There should be something that freezes someone who has 20+ or so aborts and tries to explain it. Given I also suspect this issue might often be due to language barriers so that might complicate my suggestion.
I'm about 1200 and when I play live I set the rating from (my level + 1) --> 2000 so I always get higher players (I mostly play bullet). If they are 100+ it's more likely than not that they will abort. If they knew they could set the game like me they would be less tempted (I was tempted before I knew about the settings and even resorted to aborting a few times myself when I got frustrated with my rank).
