Warmup before Live chess?

What is your strategy?  I have been doing some tactics, or playing a game "with Tutor "on Lucas chess. or doing some other training on Lucas chess like "Your Daily test" just to get my mind warmed up in the mode.  The goal of course is to play better and blunder less, but I'm not sure its working.  I've noticed I play poorly my first game.  But I also can become a little less sharp as time goes on, so too much warm up is no good either.  Thoughts?

I always check my Daily games first, do some tactics, a lesson and then I play. But I dont Think a specific "warm up" is necessary. I do cooldown however, Answer my Daily games, checks forum posts (like Right now) and then i close down

When you say it isn't necessary, that means you think you could start a game cold and do as well?

I smoke a cigarette and chug a beer. Then I'm ready to go!

I sometimes warm up by playing an unrated computer game before I play any people.

Well no I don't think so, I think it's very specific from person to person, but I haven't actually tried just going straigt to live chess, so I don't know, it's just what I think

I stretch and have a coffee

I also think going back to a recent game and looking at the computer analysis is a good warm up.  Reminds me of how many good moves I don't see!
