I'm not certain because I don't use Focus Mode when I play, but I think I heard that chess.com has had a recent bug where Focus Mode wasn't working properly, but chess.com is already aware of it and trying to fix it.

I have my settings on to always use Focus Mode. The last few times I've played however, it wasn't on Focus Mode. I tried resetting it between games and during games, and nothing changed. (To wit, I ostensibly changed it to 'Focus Mode' in the middle of a game, and nothing changed.)
Am I missing something? The Focus Mode button is still there, so it doesn't look like they 'got rid' of it. Is it just not working, and if so, is there some way to bring it to their attention?
The Play interface requires a minimum screen size to show the Focus Mode option. Apparently, if that size isn't met, the option to enable/disable isn't available.
If you change your browser zoom, it may start working. I'm not aware of any changes currently planned around that; i.e. it's not a bug Brit designed to work that way if the screen is not the minimum size

Correct. I just tested it, if I scroll/zoom to 125%, the Focus mode icon to click on disappears, if I scroll/zoom to 110% or lower, it suddenly appears. These specific percentages may vary from screen to screen.
@IntoDarkAndPaleSquares @Yorygog, you can 'zoom' out on your browser via the following methods:
1) Press + hold CTRL, and with your mouse; scroll downward and it should in turn start zooming outward on your browser.
2) If using a laptop, you can do this via your trackpad with a pinching motion with two fingers to zoom in or out.
3) See screenshot, you can adjust the "zoom" level via your browser settings. This is an example using Google Chrome:
Adjusting the screen zoom is so easy to do that sometimes it inadvertently does it with an accidental pinch motion on your track pad or mouse scroll wheel, so it's worth double checking even if you haven't consciously changed any settings. Let us know if it doesn't work and we can escalate.

I was having this issue on Chrome and found that making my zoom 90% made the icon reappear. Thank you!

Are you not seeing the focus mode button?
If yes, you might have to decrease your browser's zoom percentage like the others in this thread have mentioned.
try clicking "z" on the keyboard (shortcut for focus mode)
