I don't want to go there - as much as i want to. now, it didn't take chess intelligence to question you.

Since you're in Vegas, go play poker- it'll teach u more about people than chess EVER will hope to - which makes it MUCH more interesting. that is unless you dance at night and don't need the $. And remember, DO NOT equate chess prowess with intellect - they are mutually exclusive.

I wouldn't want to be in therapy. Lol. There are some men or even women got in that issues. Some of them lost their homes, wives, or husbands.

Las Vegas is fine. Many of us get out of Las Vegas when there is no work or school. We crave outside lifestyle.

Combination of the following arguments:

  1. It is one of the few games which is known by many people.
  2. Easy to learn, hard to master.
  3. It is cheap and mobile.
  4. One versus one: no xv1 situations; not dependent on team player's performance.
  5. No luck involved (like throwing dices).
  6. No unknown information (like cards in poker).
  7. Not solved (like draughts/checkers).
  8. No physical activities involved, only mind.

I had to take up chess because I'm so handsome women just wouldn't leave me alone. Chess has a way of repelling some women, so now my life is more manageable.

I'm a student (again). However, I take mixed courses in college (level 100 and 200). One of my courses is philosophy which include Chess. I was interested in this particular class because of the Chess game.

Can you tell me what college offers a philosophy class that includes chess? I'd love to take that class.

Have you two thought about hooking up ? Sounds like you two have a lot in common. You could play chess first then hold one another.

What do you mean not physical?  I sweat when I play chess.

Have you ever played OTB under high time pressure? Try to make more than one move per second (this includes moving the piece and pressing the clock's button) and then you will see how fast a hand is necessary.

Despite all the stress and pressure you have to control your hands and keep them stable to avoid dropping other pieces around while making a move in a crowded region of the board. So, OTB play requires a perfect combination of calm mind and body control as well as fast and precise movement of your hands.

I play chess in attempt to play perfectly like I can in Tic-tac-toe. Also, I play chess to see how smart or stupid I am compared to others. Chess is a much better test than IQ tests because the rules don't take much effort to learn. I also think the brain is a muscle, so if you play chess, you exercise your brain.
