why starting rating is 2000?

Because during account creation you self reported your level as "expert" or "advanced" or something like that.

Yeah, they don't tell you, but the starting ratings are something like 2000, 1600, 1200, 800, 600 depending on what you select.

I haven't tried all of them, so that's just an estimate.

Oh, interesting, your account is really old. They used to start you at 1200 back then, but it seems they've retroactively changed it.

Back in my day, you started at 1200 whether you liked it or not.

thats not even how close how it works.

its the rating transfer system and posibly glicko change

im not sure if they used glicko at the time
