Many people say that the best first move with white is P5 to E4. I strongly disagree with that opening. If your are the white pieces and is able to take the first move, why jump into defense? I say you should either do P1 to A4 ro take out R or do P4 to D3 to take out B AND Q. Or like me, do both. After you've done that, and moved the peices where you want them, it would be even wiser to move K to D2. With that opening, you will have complete control of the game.
