On September 3, Club Vice President and expert, Lev Zilbermintz, will be giving a lecture on chess. Below is a description of his lecture:
Looking to have more fun and spice up your chess games? Then you should be playing more gambits and seize the initiative from your opponent from both sides of the board! The lecture will focus on the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit and some other unorthodox openings. Players, from beginners to masters, are welcome to try out and learn from these openings.
Join Lev Zilbermintz, WOCC's VP and USCF expert, to understand how to to quickly develop your pieces, attack, and familiarize yourself with common tactics in these positions. Come Tuesday, Sep. 3 at 7:30pm to the Toby Katz Community Center in West Orange. Admission is $5 per.
