I used to live there but not at present. I do remember seeing old guys playing chess in a central Athens park.

I remember seeing chess being played in cafes in the lefty Exarcheia neighbourhood near the city centre and these cafes usually at least have a chessboard present. You could also check out pfren's suggestion.
We have an Athens here in Ohio as well

Cafe Panellinion is some 400m from Exarcheia Square.
And Exarcheia cannot be labelled as lefty any more, unless "Airbnb" is an abbreviation of "Fourth International".

Hi everybody, was wondering if anybody who's based in Athens would like to meet for Otb games. I actually would love to create a group with a proper place and regular meeting, like once a week.
