best opening ever!!!!!
I don't know if its the best opening, but it seems sound based on my Silman thinking method.
White weakens the kingside pawn structure with a timely sacrifice and ends up tripling black's pawns on the h-file, that's 3 draw-pawns in the bank for just a measly piece, all while black's king remains exposed and uncastled. Second, I like how he forced black to concede his/her knight "on the rim", which makes it "dim", the other knight nearly dim as well. Finally, while I already mentioned black's exposed king and the king-side shelter in shambles, guess which side's king is activated and more centralized in this endgame? White. Finally, there is the issue of all 3 of black's major pieces being completely inactivated, as well as the "bad" bishop, protecting an isolated central pawn. Did I mention 3 pawn islands?
I am no opening theoretician or positional whiz, but if you tell me black has tripled pawns on the h-file, 3 pawn islands, a bad bishop, 2 inactive knights, 3 inactivated major pieces, and an exposed uncastled king whose kingside is in shambles and is at least a move from castling queenside, then I'd say the white is doing all right.
Why am I only 1300?
